.U W G C 11 P O S T P O N E D T I L L F U R T H E R N O T I C E..
In light of the escalating uncertainty presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, specifically:
- the emergence of the Delta variant and worsening case counts in all our participating countries,
- the presence of a Lambda variant now being raised,
- a 4th wave of the pandemic being mentioned as a certainty by medical experts,
- continuing lockdowns in Australia with relief not expected until the end of 2021 at the earliest,
- the absence of a clear long-term vaccination travel policy in Canada,
- international availability of Government of Canada approved vaccines currently limited to Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson: completion of doses essential for entry into Canada,
- anticipated Government of Canada requirement of Vaccination status “Passport” ; for access to Canada and once here, to venues where people assemble – sporting events, performances, cinema, restaurants, bars, and similar.
Initially medical experts estimated a minimum 5-year duration for the pandemic on a global level. Such appears to be the case.
The Ukrainian Golf Association of Canada has made the difficult, but necessary decision to postpone UWGC 11 until at least 2023. In all likelihood our target date will be even later.
Financial and health prudence requires to step back until we can be sure that we can be confident in full commitment from our participant countries.
We at UGAC remain committed to hosting our tournament at the earliest possible opportunity in the style to which we have become accustomed and expect. The detailed work done in preparation for the earlier dates puts us in a good position to quickly organize our tournament once a date can be established.

У світлі наростаючої невизначеності, викликаної пандемією Covid-19, зокрема:
• поява варіанту Дельта та погіршення кількості випадків у всіх наших країнах -учасницях,
• наявність варіанта Лямбда, який зараз піднімається,
• четверта хвиля пандемії згадується як певність медичними експертами,
• продовження карантинів в Австралії, полегшення яких не очікується до кінця 2021 року,
• відсутність чіткої довгострокової політики щодо подорожей щепленнями в Канаді,
• міжнародна доступність ухвалених урядом Канади вакцин, що наразі обмежуються Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna або Johnson & Johnson: завершення доз, необхідних для в’їзду до Канади,
• передбачувана вимога уряду Канади щодо статусу щеплення "паспорт"; для доступу до Канади та колись тут, до місць, де збираються люди - спортивних заходів, вистав, кіно, ресторанів, барів тощо.
Спочатку медичні експерти оцінювали пандемію на світовому рівні не менше 5 років. Схоже, що це так.
Українська асоціація гольфу Канади (УГAК/UGAC) прийняла важке, але необхідне рішення відкласти УСТГ 11 /UWGC 11 принаймні до 2023 року. Цілком ймовірно, що наша цільова дата буде навіть пізніше.
Розсудливість у сфері фінансів та охорони здоров’я вимагає відступу, поки ми не будемо впевнені, що зможемо бути впевненими у повній прихильності країн -учасниць.
Ми в УГAК/UGAC залишаємося відданими організації нашого турніру при першій можливості у стилі, до якого ми звикли і очікуємо. Детальна робота, проведена під час підготовки до попередніх дат, дозволяє нам швидко організувати наш турнір, як тільки буде встановлена дата.

We will be playing outstanding golf courses, most of which have been recent hosts of the PGA Canadian Open. All will provide golfers with unique challenges without overwhelming.

All rounds include use of practise ranges, riding golf carts and either boxed or sit down lunch.
There is a new wrinkle added to the Challenge this time – we will be playing a double round at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley with a sit down lunch between rounds.
After extensive research, site visits, and consideration the Challenge tournament organizers of the Ukrainian Golf Association of Canada have determined that this is the best selection for value, is during prime season, has easy access to local attractions, and of course, some of the best golf anywhere.

After a lengthy pause resulting from the pandemic, we are pleased to confirm that UWGC 11 has been rescheduled to take place from Sunday, July 31 until Sunday, August 7, 2022 in Toronto, Canada. Greetings! Привіт!
On behalf of the organising committee, we invite you to the 11th Ukrainian World Golf Challenge tournament to be hosted in Toronto, Canada during our prime summer period.
After travelling the world to past outstanding Challenges in Ft. Lauderdale/Florida, Kapalua/Hawaii, Brisbane/Australia, Vancouver, Berlin, Mission Hills/China, Prague, St. Andrews/Scotland and most recently to the heart of our ancestral homeland Kyiv/Ukraine, the Challenge skips back across the Atlantic and returns to Canada, this time to Toronto.
There is already great excitement and interest throughout the Ukrainian golf community and we are looking forward to providing the high standard which makes these a unique and truly special event for all. This Challenge is the result of patient work, involving selection of the most attractive venues as combined with history and recreation.
With our host hotel is at the centre of the Toronto, everyone will also have the opportunity to take in the bright and dynamic life of the city itself, plus have the opportunity to take in nearby sites such as Niagara Falls.
